PK25 was designed by Poul Kjærholm in 1952 for his graduation project at the School of Arts and Crafts.
PK25, also known as the ‘Element’ chair, is a remarkable example of Kjærholm’s willingness to transform ordinary, industrial materials into striking works of art. Kjærholm was determined to reduce the chair to a single piece of each material, which led to the chair’s most distinctive feature, the continuous steel frame that curves seamlessly through the form.
