A successful testament to great experimentation and courage, Marc Newson’s Wooden Chair was born out of a desire to push the manipulation of wood to its limits.
The Wooden Chair is a modern, innovative armchair, but at the same time warm, cozy and comfortable. Made of oiled natural solid beech wood, the structure is fluid and continuous, almost organic. The beech wood planks, which form a double curve by bending with hot steam, are supported by two horizontal stiffeners: 2 at the ends and 3 in the seating area, all fixed with visible screws.
