Cesta Metallica Table Lamp
The hugely popular Santa & Cole light collection Cesta was designed in 1962 by the great Spanish design pioneer Miguel Milá. The collection is constantly expanded with new models in terms of materials and lighting technology. It resembles a Japanese-style lantern. The Spanish word Cesta means “basket” and the frame of the Cesta somewhat resembles a basket. The basket supports the illuminated globe and can be repositioned using the handle. At the same time, the diffuser spreads the light very evenly, providing a pleasant, diffused light. The Cesta Metálica can be chosen with or without a soft leather handle, which contrasts with the well-targeted severity of the brackets that gently hold the delicate opal orb.
